Short answer, yes.

There are many places you go online to get advice from certified counselors.  You need to be sure, though, that the website has a good reputation and is respected among the medical community.  This is very important because the internet makes it very easy for people to post comments regardless of their qualifications.  At the same time, much of the advice you find online can provide you with a good place to start looking for information.

Counselingresource.com has a section called "Ask The Psychologist” which allows you to pose a question through the online interface.  You can even choose the medical specialty that classifies your question (which includes physical medicine as well).  The answer box is powered by JustAnswer.com, just so you know.

Web4health.info can also put you in touch with different psychology experts so you can get medical advice.  The page is not as clean or organized as the previous site suggested.  Some of the questions and answers may be posted on the site.

Freepsychologyadvice.com is another site where you can submit questions to a licensed psychologist.  The psychologist who provides advice is licensed in the state of New York.

Askachildpsychologist.com makes a blog available to site visitors, which discusses many issues that parents could face.  There is also a section where you can ask for advice, but this service will charge you for the answers.  However, you can see some of the questions that other parents have asked as well as the answers provided.

I am a wife and mother of two kids(boys). I want to know why does my husband keep watching porno, other women, animals sex and animals mating on the internet. He then keeps saves these sights under favorites. Is he doing this to piss me off.IvH  confronted my husband on this
issue but no response. Hes just quiet or hell say I'm a man. There is no excuse that would be good enough for me.Iam an emotional wreck ,Ive told him that I consider  these as cheating
and it truly breaks my heart. I have asked him if he has ever thought of other women or has
ever thought of having an affair, his answer is always no, but he still goes on these sights
and clicking saving them. I terrified of my kids going on the internet too. I fear that our two
young boys will resort to behaviour in the future. How do I get my husband out of this sex addiction and why is he doing this.

I see a counciller each week, and when I don't see her I really miss her, I don't want it to be this way, as I know she cannot be my friend as we lead totally different lives. We are two different people. I am very keen always to tell her about exciting things that happen to me, also I want to know about her life, but I know it's not proffesional. I don't fancy her, I just admire her. How can I stop thinking of her?

I am seeing a lot of people using the "Answer Question" box to ask their own questions.  This is NOT the place to ask questions.  The "Answer Question" box is for providing an answer to the original question.  Not only does asking your question this way clutter up the answers area and make it harder to find ACTUAL answers, but it also makes it harder for people to find and answer your questions.  You are hurting yourself, and users of this site by doing this.  That being said, I'm now a hypocrite because I'm the "Answer Question" box to rant. >.<

I’ve found a couple of useful ones that can be quite helpful, but if you have a deep-rooted problem that you need to face and try and fix, or you’re in a life-threatening situation or feeling suicidal thoughts or feelings, then I would seek out a professional in person and start a treatment program to get you on the right track and in a safe place.

If you just need to ask a question or some quick advice, try out sites like psychcentral or talkspace. I’ve found them to be quite useful for quick questions and advice.

I have a 22 year college - student daughter who was engaged to 23 year college student.   She broke the engagement when she saw with her own eyes, her fiancee picking up our Yorkie and taking him in the kitchen, stuffing him under the counter in the foot space and then yanking him out and tossing him across the floor.   In the last three years, our Yorkie has gotten hurt on numerous occassions coencidentally when alone with this guy.   One time it was very serious.   Head trama that left the yorkie partially coencidentally for a few weeks -luckily it was temperary but he had to be treated with Vit. K and coencidentally.   Expensive.   Anyway, the 'boyfriend' said the dog fell down the stairs when romping around with the other dog.   This guy is like the sweetest guy in the world but this is really disturbing.   He is like mind mannered Kent (very sensitive - crys when bothered by something and ironically really was upset when his sister's dog died... He wasn't around his sister's dog or now I would wonder if he had anything to do with it.) It seems like he seeks out this sweet little dog when no one is looking and abusing him.   We have two other dogs who are not affected.   The Yorkie however gets in the shower with my daughter when alone in the house with this guy.   He shakes when he sees him and runs from him.   There is many stories that now can be explained by the abuse but I just can't believe it.   We also found out he is a compulsive liar.   After the breakup, his parents even admit the problem he has had with the lying but they didn't understand the abuse thing.   Have you heard of abuse (torture) just to one dog in a family with no other sign of meanness or even anger ever?   My daughter is really having a hard time and I believe she may go back with him...but I'm not sure how we can wrap our heads around this and just move on.   He has been like a son to us, stays at our house, eats here...we excepted him as one of our own kids til now.
