      I believe there are two solutions.  It could be 42 and 24, or 51 and 15.

      Two other mathematical solutions exist, but do not fit within the constraints of the problem.  The father and the son cannot be the same age, so 33 and 33 is not a valid solution.  If you write single digits with a leading zero, then 60 and 06 would be a solution, but we do not write ages with leading zeros.

          Let X be the Father's age
                Y be the Son's age

          i.e.           X+Y=66

          As Father's age is reversed of son's age,

          So,           Y=2X

          Now, Put the value (2) in (1),

                          X+2X=66

                          X=22  i.e. Son's age

          and,          Y=44 Father's age.
