I would like to know how best to see Rome in 2 days.

If you have to visit Rome in two days the best is to optimize your time. I suggest you to visit first the baroque areas of Trev fountain and Spanish steps. I think that your best bet would be to look in "Lets Go'. My wife and I lived in Rome for a year and she scoured her "Lets Go Italy" for days before deciding how we should best spend our free time in the city. Also, don't be afraid to use the public transportation. Buses run at frequent intervals at will take you anywhere in town (watch out for gypsies though - NEVER keep your money/valuables in your pockets or purse that you don't hold in your hand.
