Blackpool, a seaside town on the Lancashire coast, has been a popular seaside resort since the turn of the last century.  

Whilst many of Britain's millions of tourists choose to travel abroad when holidaying, Blackpool has still managed to remain a popular destination for families and adults a like.  

Part of the attraction for families is as well as having a sandy beach, the town is also home to the famous pleasure beach, an attraction full of roller coasters and fun fair style rides.  Added to this, the 'Golden Mile' (the area referred to as the promenade), is littered with shops and amusements.  

For adults, the night life is widely considered to be one of the best nights out in the country, with literally hundreds of pubs and places to eat in the town.  

For golfers the town and the Fylde area is a haven of excellent courses, including two championship staging links courses in near by Lytham St Annes.
