A cycle length less than 21 days is not good but it does not indicate menopause. Long, profuse and heavy bleeding is sign of last menstrual period in woman life. This period is also without ovulation. Periods before 21 days gap can be due to
- Stress and psychological problems

- Pelvic inflammatory disease
- Frequent ovulation
