When Did Prayer Begin?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Jesus gave us the model for formal prayers with 'The Lord's Prayer', but not all prayer is formal and solemn, and can be public or private. One definition of prayer is: A personal experience and intimate connection or conversation with the Father.

Direct communication took place between God and Adam & Eve in the garden of Eden, but after the fall and their exile, they still had conversations with Him and offered their praises and petitions; so prayer began when man was created.

Inn the garden of Eden God walked and talked with Adam and Eve.
        (Genesis 3:8)
After their sin God could no longer look upon them.
But they still longed for a way to communicate with God.
Now they could only talk with God through prayer
So it seems prayer began after the first sin.
