How Do I Legally Kick Some One Out Of My House That Isn't On The Lease?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

If the individual is not on the lease, nor if anything has been written down regarding their place in that rental. They are considered a guest. To be rid of suiting you the renter. I would however give a 2 week notice which is customary in most states. But some also honor " be out by tomorrow". This person has no obligation in eyes of landlord, nor the law since this person's name is not on lease, nor taking responsibility for rent. Have you taken monies from this person in form of a check earmarked as rent? Free advice is available through govt. Extensions regarding housing. Look into it.
