I like most of the South Park characters, but my favourite has to be Cartman. He's definitely the funniest.

Yeah, you are right. He is very selfish and money motivated but very very funny. I love him.
I think Cartman's mom is a hoot -- just the accent alone and the way she talks to him is hilarious! Actually, Kyle's mom is pretty funny too!.

Cartman for sure. He is the personification (cartoonization?) of all that is petty, greedy and selfish in the human race. He makes me laugh because, I believe, all of us have those tendencies to one degree or another and it's just funny to see them taken to such extremes.

The first few seasons Kyle was my favorite but Cartman really grew on me and is now my favorite. The Underpants gnomes are cool too.
