Why Do I Have Such Deep Thoughts Like This?

Sometimes I sit and think. I think about absolutely everything in the world and about how amazing, funny, or unusual it is. I can sometimes do this for hours on end. I often feel confused, baffled, or 'zonked out'(I can't describe it), and then I go and think, and that makes me feel even more so, and I feel like this almost every day. It is neither pleasent nor unpleasant but it confuses me very much, and I cannot understand it. I dont know what category this belongs in.

I do the same thing. Though I don't get confused, it's more like my brain stops. I often find myself thinking about everything, and it isn't just trivial things.

I avoid thinking about politics though. Try some brain food, like fish and rice, see what you do that day, and the next. Then try the food that isn't as good for you and do the same.
It could be that you are smarter than you think, and just need a little guidance to better utilize your thought process. Try a little deductive reasoning; this process helps you to analyse.

Deductive reasoning is dependent on its premises. That is, a false premise can possibly lead to a false result, and inconclusive premises will also yield an inconclusive conclusion.
I think that thinking is healthy, it helps to keep your wits sharp, helps to stabilize you and maintain a balance in morals.

When you start your "babbling" thinking, choose a subject, no matter how simple or complex, and ponder on it for a while. Reason with it, say, tadpole to frog, how does it start from a tadpole, and grow into a frog, and what happens to the frog in it's life time.
This will cause you to focus on one thing rather than everything. And it might just drive you to want to further self educate, which is great, because then you might be able to get to answering your own question, (this does not mean you're a nut if you answer your own questions in this manner, ha ha).

Here is a great site to learn from, and the info is seemingly never ending. www.wikipedia.org. Brain food is one of the best things to keep our minds in a healthy working order, and assists and promotes a practical thinking process. Hope this helps. Don't worry about being a little scattered here and there, it's normal.

It seems to me you are in a "Zen" state of mind.  You are enjoying feeling, seeing, sensing everything around you and getting lost in the thoughts it inspires.  When this causes you to get in a fog, you need to come back to reality.  Doing something physical will clear your head. Take a walk.  Jump Rope. Mop the floor.  It doesn't matter what just do something.
