Can A Person Drink Alcohol And Smoke Marijuana On Abilify Medicine For Bi-polar?
A friend of mine is Bi-polar and is taking Abilify. He is experiencing major stomach problems with nausea. He drinks and smokes marijuana almost on a daily basis. Will this cause the nausea? Can he drink or smoke at all? In moderation? Will this activity

You should NEVER drink alcohol or smoke marijuana and take any type of medication. The mixture could cause permanent damage or even be fatal. This is why he is getting sick all the time. It is never safe to mix drugs and alcohol with prescription medication, not even in moderation.

It won't affect him to drink or smoke with abilify and I should know I was taking abilify and going through a rough patch in life and tried to escape through drinking and smoking. He should see a doctor about the nausea.

I was on abilify the only thing I notice when I drank with it is that my tolerance was not as high. The effects hit me a lot quicker then normal.

Drinking while taking ability destroys ur liver it may not be noticeable until u see a doctor weed from wat I can tell doesn't effect it as much

Drinking on a higher dosage of ability will make your stomach very upset and you will more than likely vomit from the alcohol. Smoking weed should not affect the medication as much as the alcohol does.
