    What Effect Does Oil Have On Water Plants?

    The water plant will die because as we know that oil doesn't dissolve in water and when it is on the plant then it forms a separate layer and thus not allow gasses to dissolve in the water. When the Co2 doesn't dissolve in water, the plants won't photosynthesize and thus can't make their food and die.
