I did not file after being laid off because i was baby sitting my grandchildren until I became ill.
You can apply whether you will be eligible depends on your States eligibility requirements and if you fall into those guidelines. You can most likely access that information on line and determine your status.

You may have jeopardized your chances by waiting so long. There are time frames that have to be satisfied. One thing they look at is the number of weeks you worked in a twelve-month period. You should always try. You never know. The worst that can happen is they turn you down.
