Yes, the people on ssi will receive a check for $250.00, some time in may. They will go by the last 2 numbers of your social security number. I think 00- 22, i s may 2nd, 23-78 is may 9th. And 79- 99 is may 16th. You might want to call your bank. The people that get ssi will get theirs first, if they have direct deposit.

I didn't get mine- last 2 #'s are 06, but i am on ssd not ssi, maybe that is why??? Could you direct me to the website where you found this information? Yours is the only answer i've seen other than "by the end of may". Thanks in advance.
Nope incorrect; my last 2 digits are 11;'its may 14, no check here yet!!!
My son is on ssi and its the 15th..no check yet. My neighbor who's husband is on ssd got theirs direct deposit the first week of May. My friends gmother got her ssd check direct deposit first week of May. My friends son gets ssi (both of our kids have congenital diseases) and she has no check. It seems as if ssd is going out with direct deposit first and mail is coming late....even though it is for a child. The last two of my son's ss are 24, nothing yet.

I am on ssi and have direct deposit and my last digits are 64 and haven't received anything yet.....today is May 28 so I figure it will be after June 1......supposedly they sent out between 8,000 and 10,000 checks to dead people.......which is probably why hardly anyone has received theirs.

Don't know why I got a thumbs down on this comment, if you read on the internet you will see the article about social security sending out checks to 8,000 to 10,000 people that are deceased. Sorry I give my ownself a thumbs up on this one.

You will get it when they let you have it;
i believe theirs no rhyme or reason to it!

I got a letter saying that I would get 250 at the end of May and never got it. I also live in CA, so my SSI check has actually been CUT by almost $80 since Feb! Oh yeah, and Medi-Cal has also discontinued many services including Dentistry, and Mental health. So now, it's ok if I cannot afford food, because my teeth will fall out anyway. If I am depressed about it, I cannot see a shrink either!

with 30.
