What Is A Memory Key?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

In general, the term memory key is given to USB flash drives. These NAND-type of flash memory data storage devices which come integrated with a USB (that is, universal serial bus) interface are usually small, nice and lightweight, removable as well as rewritable.

You will find that they are more compact, normally faster, able to hold more data, and have greater reliability as compared to other storage devices such as floppy disks. They are so small that they are often carried around as decorative key chains. There are some uniquely designed ones available in the market these days such as those resembling cartoon characters or other cute shapes such as puppies or cats.

It is also known as a memory stick or pen drive.
