French Revolution happened in France from 1789 to 1799. It was the period of political and social upheaval. There are a number of reasons because of which this revolution happened.
First reason was that there was an increase in the malnutrition in France, which had increased the deaths and diseases. Because of the poor transportation infrastructure, food import was also not possible. Secondly, France was at the verge of bankruptcy because of the participation of Louis XV, in wars. These wars increased the debts on France. Thirdly, there was an inefficient financial system over there. Economy had very high inflation and prices of necessities were also increasing. There were two many custom barriers which were also causing no internal trade. In simple words the economy was moving towards recession. Therefore, all these factors together contributed in bringing French Revolution.
