What Is ABS Braking?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

ABS stands for Anti-Lock Braking System. A computer pulsates the brakes on and off very fast and helps the tires not lock up so the tires can keep traction contact to keep the car in control. It stops the vehicle quicker also.  If tires were to lock up, much of control is gone.

Automatic braking system is used so you never lose traction when trying to stop on a wet road ,makes  car wheels from spinning out of control while braking. Plus they are very different from original brakes. Abs brakes you do not have to pump the brakes!
