Who Is Eligible For An Earned Income Tax Credit?

It was referenced on my sons 1040ez form and so I was not sure if he was eligible to collect it.

To claim the EITC, he would need to be over age 25, not a dependent, and make less than $12,590.00 for the year. And these are just 3 rules out of 15. If you want you can check IRS Publication 596 at IRS.GOV.
