What Should I Feed My Hamsters?

Hamster food. :)lol  go to a pet store and get some samples of hamster food. And see which one they will eat. Then pick that one. You also need a water feeder bottle to hang on the side of your hamster cage that you should also have. Maybe even a hamster wheel or ball for them to run around in. Or you can go high tech and build a hamster tunnel maze out of the tubing kits they have at most pet stores.    Www.petsmart.com

Just feed the hamster grass.

FRESH Fruits and vegetables are also an important part of a hamster's diet. Mine love lettuce leaves, watermelon and apples. But yours might prefer other fruits and veggies. Try and see which ones they like best. Give it to them in the morning and remove the unused portions after a couple of hours.

You can get a ready made dry food mix from a local pet store.  Try and give them a wide range of fruit and vegetables, try not to give them to much carrot, as this could stain the fur near the hamsters mouth.  Also DO NOT give them plants out of the garden except dandelion leaves as they could poison them and kill them.  Change the food in the food bowl everyday and put in fresh water everyday.  Also check the cage for bits of food lying around and pick it up because if you don't the bits of food will go rotten and if the hamster eats it they will get ill.
