Induction occurs when the EMF of wire carrying current excites the electrons of another conductor. It induces a current in the conductor that is in the electromagnetic field. Ex: You park your car under some power lines, its humid out, your car has been there for a period of time and when you return to your car and grab the door handle it shocks the shit out of you because your car that is not grounded because of the tires has been charged via induction and you allowed the induced current to flow when you touched the handle because you are grounded. Your car has become a capacitor via induction from the emfs of the power lines.
