I am not aware of the claims that any New York Park made on the invention of the hot dog or the roller coaster. However, it is known that sausages resembling the ones we use in hot dogs were eaten in Germany; this can be taken back to the year 1864. There are many people, who are believed to be the 'inventors' of the hot dog, but as per the National Hot Dog Council the hot dog was first made by a butcher in Germany called as Johann Georgehehner.

Similarly with roller coasters, it is known that they are descendants of the winter sleds used in Russia, mainly in the city of St. Petersburg. With the advent of the 1700s, the concept was majorly popularised and many companies started to imitate the idea, one of whom was Les Montagnes Russes a Belleville who created a gravity track in the year 1812.
