Dogs for instance have different barks that mean different things, so in some way I would think yes.

Animals use different sounds and visual stances to mean different things. A good example are monkeys (I forget exactly which species, although I have no doubt there are more than one). Some monkeys have noticeably different vocal sounds for different threats. I.e. One sound for sighting a leopard, one for a snake and one for an eagle, which members of the same species can recognise and react too. So yes, they do use language in the same fundamental ways as humans, to communicate.
