It is not uncommon for women to experience a yellowish brown discharge during pregnancy. It simply means that the woman's body is getting rid of the remains of old blood. However, to be on the safe side, it is always preferable to consult your doctor if you really feel that something is wrong, because if the pregnant woman takes stress, that could harm the pregnancy too in the first place!

Possibly pregnant. Does she use tampons? Sometimes a woman forgets about the last tampon of the cycle and it can cause a brown discharge if left in the vaginal canal. If this is the issue there will be a foul smell along with it.
