In such scenario if you have to interact with different people development of good relationship is necessary in our social system these contacts are built either due to the blood relations or due to our friendship or relations of love.

If your shy, wait for him to make the first move, or give him kinda tell tale signs. Sit close to him, hold his hand etc. When it comes to making out just let it happen naturally, kissing does seem daunting sometimes but if you just relax and let it flow then it'll be fine.
As for making out, put your arms around his neck, around his waste, squeeze his arm or his bum (lol), run your hands through his hair...just do what feels right.
