Would You Let Someone Who Is Partially Impaired Handicapped Get Away With Using You?

Scenario: Student (yes a student in college) having problems paying rent while going to college decides to leave while not paying the last months rent would you treat them any different than the two room mates they left behind....(sort of a twist on a judge Joe brown court case)

Well, this is a difficult question. Why are they having difficulty paying rent? Is it because of their disability? Lots of doctor appointments, etc.? If not, then they need to be treated just like anyone else. If they were responsible for paying a portion of the rent, and they left the other roommates in the dust, they deserve to pay for their actions.

You had sort of the same thought I had..they are capable of going to class and having room mates and making the trip back and forth to classes. The reason I asked is you could tell the other person felt bad because they were in court over this but they still needed to be paid for the rent...

No I would not treat them any different.  Down in the cellar they would go until the family or someone paid their debt.

      Just like the old days.
