A distinction is frequently made among frogs and toads on the basis of their looks, prompted by the convergent adaptation between so-called toads to dry environment, which frequently entails a brown skin for camouflage. It is also generally dry and leathery for enhanced water preservation.

A Frog basically is an amphibian coming from the order Anura. Mature frogs are typified by their long hind legs, a short body, webbed digits, sticking out of eyes and the absence of tail. Nearly all the frogs have a semi-aquatic lifestyle, and leave their eggs in puddles, ponds or lakes. Generally all toads have two lumps on each side of the back of their head, known as the parotoid glands. These glands comprise of a poison, which is released when the toad is stressed.
