Did F. Scott Fitzgerald Write Plays Also?

Answer Question

Yes, he did write plays and he started writing for stage as early as during his Princeton years. During the years 1911 and 1914 he wrote more than 3 plays and all of them were performed by a troupe called Minneapolis Amateur Drama Troupe.

He also wrote lyric when he was competing in the triangle club and won the competition too but he was not thought to be eligible to participate on the stage as he has a poor academic record. But he was praised by everyone all the same. He had some other plays also to his credit that were published in Nassau Literary Magazine of Princeton which include some famous plays also like 'Shadow Laurels' and also 'The Debutante'.

The publishing house Scribner also published one of his plays called 'The Vegetable' and that was good enough to give him the title of playwright.
