In Ramadan, Muslims pray a special prayer with the Isha (nightime) prayer. This is called Taraweeh, and is of variable length, depending on the Mosque you pray in and your own ability. The Rakas are an even number prayed in sets of twos. Usually it's eight or twenty. Also the Tahajjud is prayed, later at night, at home or in a Mosque, in a similar pattern.

Ramadan is a month full of blessings, love and mercy granted to us by the one God (Allah). As mentioned in the Quran:
"O ye who believe, fasting has been prescribed upon you as it was prescribed upon those before you, so that ye may learn self-restraint." (Quran; 2:183)
Because it is a month full of blessing, many people try and set goals, such as reading the Quran in its entirety, making a pilgrimage to Mecca for Hajj, pray more often, or something as simple as remembering God and being thankful can earn anyone reward from God. Just by trying to become a better person by performing good deeds and refrain from sinning can earn the blessings of God. All good deeds (no matter how major or minor) is full of reward from Allah, and you yourself can feel it.
The prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith and with the hope of reward, all his previous sings will be forgiven."
Fasting teaches you self-restraint and helps you feel for those less fortunate. Not only are you to refrain from eating (from sunrise till sunset) but it is recommended to fast with all your senses. In other words, refrain from cussing or gossiping, or putting yourself in situations that may cause you to sin.
Fasting will intercede for a person on the Day of Judgement, and will say, "O Lord! I prevented him from his food and physical desires during the day, so let me intercede (for him or her)."
Ramadan is a time that God blessed us with in order to take advantage of to strive to become better individually, and we have only Him to Thank. It is a time of laughter and fun in which families and friends spend together so take advantage of this month, because this may be what gets you into Heaven.
