How Far Along Do You Have To Be To Get Induced?

For the most part for a single pregnancy 38 weeks is full term....  Usually the doc will have you wait up to 2 weeks past due date, to give nature the chance to induce.

Hi.... At 37 weeks, I had a doctors appointment. Muy doctor induced my labor when he checked for dilation. He forced his finger into the cervix. Late that night, i went into labor and I had my baby. That happened with all of my kids. With my last one, I was having pains. I went ot the hospital. They checked my cervix. I was dilated 4 centimeters. I wasn't in true labor. But since i was  37 weeks and 4 centimeters, she took that finger, placed it up there and that triggered my labor. They do it when the feel that it's safe.
