Its sounds to be broken i hate to say that that because i have one too a ps3 i had to get rid of the ps2 because of the same thing thats going on with yours

You said PSP, right? I don't mean to insult your intelligence but have you tried inserting the disc in the other way? Some times that is a very simple misunderstanding. Perhaps the way you are putting the disc in does not allow the laser to read it because it is backwards.
I've put discs in to other things (like DVD players) backwards and hear a clicking noise. That's what lead me to my response.
