Depends on what you can tolerate without getting narced, what you breathe, and a proper ascent is critical from any depth. I am an advanced open water diver with basic experience and have gone to 130ft with a standard air tank. It's neat to have your personal record but you can't stay long so what's the point. There's too much to enjoy at reasonable levels.
