I Have A 1999 Chevy Suburban And The Automatic Transmission Will Not Shift From 1st Gear. What Could Be The Problem?

I started driving and I noticed that transmission did not shift because I was not getting the proper speed.

    First thing, tho obvious, (forgive me) is to check your transmission fluid.
