I always try to warn people about the jerks, but no one ever listens. Just ask him out! But if he ends up breaking your heart or hurting you; don't say I didn't warn you!

Perhaps I have lost something in the translation. In my language a jerk is an idiot - so why would anyone even bother to want to ask him out.

First off.....Why would you want to ask a guy out if he is a jerk? You deserve better than that!! If a guy is a jerk to everyone else what makes you think he's going to treat you any different? He's not going to. You need to find a person that treats you and everyone else with respect. You are way better than that and deserve better!! There is a good guy out there for you, you just have to open your eyes and look.
