This is a bit confusing - Internet Explorer is a web browser running on your PC, and Google is (mostly) a search engine that runs inside your web browser.
When you fire up IE7 you can choose your homepage of choice, by navigating through the menus Tools:Internet Options:Home page. If you don't want Google.com as your homepage, choose something else!
