What Do You See At Redwood National Park?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The RNSP, or the Redwood National and State Parks, are situated in California, and preserve around 45 per cent of the remnant groves of coastal redwood trees.

Apart from enjoying the flora and fauna, namely, animal species like the tidewater goby, the Chinook salmon, the Steller's sea lion, all of which are threatened species, and the plant life including the huge redwood trees, the Douglas firs etc, one can indulge in a variety of recreational activities.

One can either stay in the Youth Hostel which offers minimal facilities and is a shared lodge type, or stay in nearby towns. One can indulge in activities such as hiking trekking and camping in the park. However, one needs to obtain authorised permission for back country camping. Facilities like horseback riding and mountain biking are also provided, although only on select trails. Other activities include kayaking, fishing, guided nature walks etc.
