How Many Oscars Can I Have In A 30 Gallon Tank?

Answer Question

A 30 gallon tank is just not big enough for a oscar fish. It would be just about ok for a baby one but oscar fish grow very fast and get quite big. If you want a pair of oscar fish then a 55 gallon tank is better. If you only have 2 in the 55 gallon tank, you may not need to get a bigger tank in the future  - but I would recommend a bigger sized tank to be on the safe side. Even as adults, oscar fish can outgrow a 55 gallon tank so a 75 gallon tank is a more ideal size.

One if you want it to be healthy.  One is good in a 100 gallon tank.  30 is just cruel.
