I have a silver (solid) chain around my waist. I've never had a problem, now all the sudden, it's tarnished and black always....

I have had this happen too. In my case I am sure it was because medication I was taking was coming out in my sweat a little, and causing the problem. It contained sulphur.
It could be that you have washed in contaminated water.
I am pretty sure this has nothing to do with vitamins.

I saw where your testing your water already, Sis!
If it's got Sulfur, it reacts with silver, and puts a film on top of the water in the storage tank on your toilet, too!
When they test your water they WILL try to sell you treatment, SAT NO and write me!
