Do Pythons Lay Eggs?

On discovery channel it said that pythons don't lay eggs. I'm saying pythons aren't mammals. So I want to know if pythons 'really' lay eggs?

I'm pretty sure they do! Not all species of snakes lay eggs, like some boa species...Certainly most species of python lay eggs, and I am almost certain all do, what were you playing at discovery channel?

They have live births, and the babies are on their own from there to take care of themselves. Rather tough life for them, but that's nature.
