    Robert Dennis Crumb (natural August 30, 1943), often ascribed simply as R. Crumb, is an American artiste and illustrator standard for the distinctive manner of his drawings and his significant, ironic, subversive view of the American ordinary. He at this time lives in France.

    Crumb was a creator of the subversive comix movement and is regarded as its most prominent figure. Though one of the most celebrated of comic book artists, Crumb's entire career has outspread outside the conventional comedian book publishing manufacturing. One of his most recognized works is the Keep on Truckin' sketch, which became an extensively dispersed fixture of explode civilization in the 1970s. Others are the font Devil Girl, Fritz the Cat. Robert Crumb was instinctive in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up in an unhappy family, bounded by artistic brothers and sisters, which was chronicled in the 1994 Terry Zwigoff documentary film Crumb. His older brother, Charles Crumb, was an enthusiastic comic book fan and pushed Robert to persistently draw stand-up comedian books from childhood into their adolescent years. Together they shaped a comedian called Foo; they attempted to sell it at their discipline and even door to door in their locality, but Robert Crumb has supposed that they had small success.       R. Crumb's illustrations in his comix Zap had some of the most outrageous characters around in the 1970's. They were the Furry Freak Brothers.
