Do You Think That Soon People Will Not Be Able Discipline A Child In Any Way Shape Or Form?

It's illegal to spank a child, and we talk about verbal abuse... Will it end to NO discipline? I mean, in school they used to have those sticks and now it's against the law... Soon the entire Childrens public will be nuts... What do you think?

I grew up in a home with corporal punishment, and severe verbal and emotional abuse. It made me very angry inside, and i ran away at 13. I had years of therapy to teach me to have self esteem and confidence. I was pretty much useless. My son was disciplined rationally. We communicated respectfully, or he sat in his room and did nothing. When he did good, I praised him for it. I reminded him of his 'gifts and abilities'. Instead of prophecying that he would turn out bad. I told him he would turn out good. He did better than that, he turned our excellent. It takes more time, energy, and intelligence to 'discipline, as opposed to punish' To tell some one that you are going to beat them because you love them, is setting them up to be abused the rest of their life. When you tell a child they are good for nothing, that is what you get.
