How Do I Pursue A Career In Architecture?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are around seven years of schooling required in the United Kingdom to be trained in architecture. Five years involve a conventional degree course. The degree involves a three year full time course known as RIBA part 1. RIBA stands for Royal Institute of British Architects. RIBA is a United Kingdom based professional body for architects.

After RIBA part 1 another two years follow as a part of RIBA2. Architectural studies involve two years of hands on training or practical work experience. The first year of practical work experience is to be followed by the first three years of schooling and the next one year after completion of the last two years. A final exam has to be attended known as the Professional Practice Examination. The final exam is known as Part 3 and once completed qualifies one as a qualified architect.
