 Archaeology is the study of history. This study is based on things that left behind by the people of that time. It is study of culture there way of life. In culture we can include language, religion their technology and advancements and their values. The word Archaeology is derived from Greek language which means ancient knowledge.
Basic achievement of Archaeology is to study or examine the human culture, their behavior, changes with time, and their way of living and ecology from both historic and prehistoric background. In the past the main focus of Archaeology was on the physical remains. With the passage of time Archaeology is now considered as one of the fourth branches of anthropology.

The other three branches of anthropology are physical anthropology, cultural anthropology and linguistics which are the study of different languages. Archaeology is the main source of providing the information about the past history and changes that was taken place in the past. Many methods and techniques are applied in the filed of Archaeology, Which includes the survey of the area and collect observation of that area. Every thing which is collected from those sites is a source of information.
