Shouldn't We Follow Our Tradition?

As long as the tradition is still relevant to practice, sure keep it up.   But I don't think they should be followed just for the sake of following tradition.  There's a short story called "the lottery" that is about the danger of following an archaic tradition...

As for the other responder above, about religious holidays being rooted in pagan holidays...I'm assuming your a christian. I got news for you, ALL of your christian holidays are rooted in pagan holidays, they were stolen from them. Christianity itself was just a rip off of the cult of mithras (go ahead, look it up. I suggest wikipedia.org.

Depends how you want to look at it. Tradition can be a good thing if it's a good Biblical thing.... On the other hand, a lot of traditions we have these days (especially the holidays) have their roots in various pagan religions. I myself am careful what traditions I follow and those I don't.
