If All You Need Is A Filling In Your Tooth Then Do You Have To Get An Injection?

Cause there's a good chance when they drill out the decay that the dentist will hit a nerve. Trust me on this, you DO NOT want to have drill hit the nerve in a tooth WITHOUT novacaine!!! Having dental work without novacaine can be supremely painful (think finger in light socket or 100 lb dumbell dropped on bare foot).

I made this mistake ONCE and my reaction to the pain caused me to jump, and got my tongue sliced by the drill (which throbbed for 2-days).

I hate injections so I have all my work done without one, it does hurt but doesn't distress me as much as an injection.
