Every man demanding from government or society anything, something or everything in accordance with his heart's desire is considered an advocate of human rights and also a claimant to these rights. He vociferously champions his demand and asserts that it be placed as item number one on the universal charter of human rights.

One can understand violations of human rights in the case of prisoners languishing for years or decades in the prisons of white masters of South Africa or military rules of Burma-Nelson Mandela spent more than twenty-seven-years in prison and the daughter of the maker of modern Burma, Nobel peace prize winner "Aung san suu kyi" who led the 1988 protests for democracy, has been under house arrest since 1989.

Even the maiming of innocent people in Afghanistan and Somalia and the denial of food and medicines to the besieged and starving people in Kabul and Sarajevo are undeniable violations of human rights. The policy of discrimination practiced by some world powers is itself a violation of human rights. While NATO bombers were almost ready to pound Serb militias in Bosnia not a word of protest has been heard from any super power about the tragedy in Afghanistan.
