I think that some animals are very inventive, like the beaver, they know just when and where to build their house/dam and how to keep it in repair.

but yes animals other then humans can be inventive and creative.
The ways and things they do to survive by creating new methods is very impressive.
Like a beaver building a dam
and monkeys are too

bwtsrl: Beavers can do this routinely (instinctively). Can it however decide to use different wood or change it's method- possibly stockpiling ahead of time? Maybe they already do?
