    My Dog Quit Bleeding 5 Days Ago Is She Still Fertile? Could She Get Pregnant If She Mated With A Dog During This Time?

    My dog just quit bleeding and she was around another dog. They did mate and we were not aware of it. She is 9 months old and the male is also 9 months old. I was wondering if she could get pregnant.

    Bleeding is one sign of heat in dogs. Before bleeding, there is swelling of vulva. Your dog still can be pregnant because most fertile days are 10-12 days starting from first day of bleeding. The heat cycle may last up to 18-21 days.
