My Parrot Eats Its Own Droppings. Is This Normal??

This is very bad as your parrot is self infecting with many pathogens in his droppings.
You need to use the bottom grate that came with the cage. Yes, they are a pain to keep clean but you must have something to keep space between the floor of the cage and your bird.
If your cage doesn't have a bottom grate then you will have to buy a cage that does. Make sure the grate slides out the front for easy cleaining.
If you don't have a grate and can't go get a new cage right away you must change the papers at least twice a day preferably more.
Toys and new foods will help to distract your parrot from going down to the bottom.
In the wild parrots are never in contact with their droppings thus they don't know to not eat them in captivity.
I love all pets and have a parrot myself.
Good luck and if I can ever be of any help just holler.
