Could Dangerous Dogs Bite You If You Are There Owner?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Dogs can and do turn on their owners often, and for a number of reasons.  I had a friend who was a little tipsy and thought it would be funny to "scare" his sleeping Doberman awake, so he put his face right in the dog's face, screamed "BOO!) and lost his nose.  The dog had to have immediate emergency surgery before the nose had started being digested, and it was grafted back on the owner's face.  Sad and ugly, but true story.  This man was very into his looks, and his ego was forever destroyed because even after three graft surgeries, and graft revisions, the nose still looked like a "bitten off and sewn back on nose".  Female dogs in heat can sometimes be so crazed they will bite their owners, and males trying to get to a female in heat will bite their owners if they are being restrained.  Animal instinct is just that: Animal instinct.  It is not controlled by manners, or thinking.  It is just instinct.
