What Is "How Jane Won"?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

How Jane won is a book about fifty women. It records their success in their careers and family life. It is about the experiences gained, trials and tribulations and the ways how they overcame all odds. Thus it is a book on feisty women who took the reins of their life in their own hands and made a success of it despite all odds. The author of this book is Dr. Sylvia Rimm.

This book also has the accounts of several known women like Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, Florence Henderson, New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman, space shuttle commander Eileen Collins, astronaut Cady Coleman and novelist Jacquelyn Mitchard. It also contains the story of Mary Grandpre, the American illustrator who is famous for her illustrations in the Harry Potter series in this book. But the actual thing about this book is that success has not been defined only in materialistic terms. It includes happiness and satisfaction as well in its definition of success. Thus this book makes for a very good read.
