An orthodontist is a person who practices the field of orthodontics. Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry which fixes an improper jaw and setting of the teeth if it is not in a proper order. If your teeth are not in a proper order, it is important to get them done at an early age to prevent major problems at an old age. The orthodontist fixes metal plates and wires on and around the teeth which are known as braces. These braces are stainless steel and are required to be there depending upon the seriousness of the teeth. The procedure is quite painless though you might have difficulty consuming food and drinks for a couple of weeks. Regular visit to the orthodontist is required for stability of the braces.
